    Hi there,

I have a problem when using OPL (both 0.9 r590 and 0.8 final) to play games over the network. For the most part, games work, but they will randomly freeze during gameplay (either a freeze or it won't get back to the menu) - I'm not sure if this is a setting on my PC or my router. Maybe the connection is timing out because no new data is being loaded? (i.e during a match in Timesplitters, since it's all in RAM) I'm on Windows XP if it matters. Also, I have tried re-ripping games (checksums match redump) as well as trying different ethernet cables.
SCPH-5001 with swap trick (dead laser, RIP)
    SCPH-39001 V7 - Swap Magic/FMCB/OPL (network games)
    PSP 1001 5.00 M33-6 with 16 GB MS
(that's it for Sony consoles, I have more modded stuff though )

It shouldn't be completely random freezing. Windows XP and 2000 have an auto-disconnect feature thats is default for all their machines, it is sent to disconnect any network maps after a set amount of idle time, the default is 15 minutes. You can change the default time by opening a command prompt and typing net config server /autodisconnect:"auto disconnect time". Where it says "auto disconnect time", just remove the quotes and add a number from -1 to 65535, putting -1 would disable the auto-disconnect feature. An example would be net config server /autodisconnect:30 making the auto-disconnect time set to 30 minutes.

For more information on this check How Autodisconnect Works in Windows NT and Windows 2000. Hope this helps.

Thank you so much! That solution works perfectly. It wasn't "random" freezing as much as freezing every 15 minutes or so (which explains it perfectly) - all of my games work now!
