A few games I cannot get to work

I read on the posts about the two Katamari Damacy games being broke, so I won't even bother posting about those.

I'm using OPL 0.8 with SMB. All of my other games work except...

SCES-50241 - The Bouncer Europe
SCUS 97328 - Gran Turismo 4 USA

Both of these games boot, however it's like the controller quits working. For the bouncer, it loads the startup cut scenes, shows title screen, and won't let me press start. For Gran Turismo 4, it has the initial splash Screen, then OPL flashes colors, and it comes up with the memory card part and won't go any further.

Lastly:

SCUS 97167 - Parappa the Rapper 2
It'll partially work with Mode 2. It'll get to the initial button presses, but doesn't do the first stage. It sits on the loading screen indefinitely. Without mode 2, it'll sit on the turntables and won't go to the stage/option screen.

Any suggestions to getting these games working?

The same happens to me too with Gran Turismo 5 (USA). It's odd because IGR works. I found out that the controller will work again in the game if you reconnect it. HD Loader does the same thing so I doubt it's OPL but getting it fixed is always welcome.

Try to disable IGR on those games.
GT4 was reported to be incompatible to IGR.

Just a few tips for testing Compatibility-Modes.

First: You should disable those features, which take up IOP-RAM and/or interferre/influence in some way the behaviour of things.

-disable/don't enable VMC (influence & IOP-RAM) --> Not a 'mode', but configureable in the same Game-Configmenu.
-disable IGR (influence & IOP-RAM) --> Mode 6
-reduce cdvdfsv-buffer --> Mode 7

Second: Try those other modes,...

I'll give that a whirl with The Bouncer as well. I'll let you know how it goes.

I have Gran Turismo 4 USA DVD9 version and it works perfectly on SMB even the opening video plays smoothly , only one thing is that I have to reconnect the game controller in order for it to work. There are only 2 games that I can not get to work at all: Maximo Ghost to Glory and Super Robot Wars Impact

Maximo couldnt start at all and Super Robot Wars Impact always freezes after the first dialogue.

BTW, GT4 isn't the only game where disabling IGR solves such controller related problems...

I'll try IGR. The controller problem exists with The Bouncer, which I unplugged and put back in and it works until certain cut scenes which it gets disabled. I'll try IGR off and see how that works.

About that Super Robot Wars Impact - slps 251.04
it always random freeze at battle scene,when useing 99% homebrew loader play it:
i tested it at hdloader 0.8、opl(HDD and USB mode)、USBA 、TOXIC OS（crack version）
this a very strange game,now only PS2ESDL are no issue of slps 251.04

with opl I have only black screen with futurama (SLES_515.07) :-( ciao :-)
