Tried rev377 yesterday. It still doesn't work.

Thanks to everyone who was trying to help me but I have litte spare time atm and so no time for experiments.

I'll send the device back to the seller and think of another solution.
Maybe I can get my network media tank to work with OPL. Otherwise I'll buy a NAS that is confirmed working with OPL.

Keep up the good work guys...great tool, great support!

If you have an old computer, install FreeNAS on it.

    1. it's free.
    2. makes use of old stuff sitting around the house.
    3. works better than the shitty embedded NAS units.

    That's right!
After testing OPL with my NMT and it worked, I gave up with the Digitus.

The NMT has 2 advantages: As it is more powerful I think the speed is higher. But the big advantage is that the internal HDD is formatted with ext3 and that supports files >4GB. The Digitus only supports the FAT32 format. So you can't store DL games on it as .iso.

As what I read the Digitus has to be flashed with another firmware so it works together with OPL. But I couldn't find out what firmware and how to do it.
Natively it doesn't work with OPL.

I think only bluestorm and Bootlegninja can help you with this.

    Hi bluestorm and Bootlegninja,
If you still have the firmware (or download link for that) in order to enable ext3 on DIGITUS NAS and make it compatible with OPL, please post it here, if you wouldn't mind and when you have time of course. ;-)

Isn't it just that latest OPL revs simply doesn't run with this NAS ?
If so a network traffic capture made with WireShark while trying to access SMB share with OPL will help

    Hi,
Did you solve this problem on later OPL revs? If so, please let me know what are the NAS which reported success on OPL use.
    Tks in advance.
    BR,

PS: I'm currently interested on Addonics USB NAS Adapter acquisition (http://www.amazon.com/Addonics-NASU2.../dp/B001OC5J9U), since my Digitus NAS I bought three months ago hasn't arrived yet (so I'm almost giving up of wait it). I prefer USB and little NAS since I have few space on my home (and I like "minimalistic" designed producs wherever possible as well).
