Crispy sound on some games, any solution ?
Hey,
I tested several games now on my PS3 via SMB. And when I tested Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater PAL, the videos were stuttering, it's nothing new but the sound was crispy (I don't know how to say it correct in english, dict. says crackle, sizzle, etc. you should now what I mean :) ).
The same thing happens to Resident Evil 4 PAL. Whenever this haunting background music kicks in as soon as enemies are at you, it gets crispy / crackle / whatever.
But if they don't hunt you the sound is perfectly fine.
So my question is. Is this a problem with the SMB Core? As I can pretty much imagine it has to stream this sound on the fly via the network like the DVD Drive would do, but strange thing is in the save menu, the sound is also behaving like the haunting background music, so maybe my theory is false ?
Or is it a bug in OPL in general ? What about PS2 users? Are you experiencing the same things ? Or the USB users, do you have any problems with the sound liek I do ?
My last guess (but hopefully the most false one), could it be due to the software emulation of the PS2 on the PS3? Maybe the emulator ****s something up ?
Anyway, maybe someone knows what to do. Thanks in advance !

EDIT: I just watched this video here: [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hge04J77EFc"]YouTube - Open ps2 Loader na PS3[/ame]
This guy is playing it via USB on a PS3 and his sound on the loading screen is perfect.
Is there any difference between the SMB for PS2 and PS3 ? Any speed differences or so ?
I had the same issue once with my XBOX 360, but that was because the sound Option was set at Dolby and not Stero, I already looked at Resident Evil's option menu, but Stero was already set, so I isn't the same issue here :(
