Well itīs been a while since I logged on here, but I feel like unwrapping the good olī PS2 this coming weekend.

I have a questions, is Champions of Norrath and Baldurs Gate playable through OPL yet? Last time, I remember they both stuttered heavily in gameplay wich ruined the experience. My question is simply if there have been any progress in making these games playable?

    Cheers!

These ones are fully playable and run without any speed problems. Both tested from an internal HDD and with a latest OPL revision.

They are slightly laggy on my SMB connection, I played a bit of Champions of Norrath from the start. The cut-scene video played well except at the end the sound cut out then back in. The first level on the tree platforms killing goblins went well except when running around. When running, the character would sometimes pause for a second while the map caught up. The battles were pretty good though, no lag there. I enjoyed it, but don't know how it would play during a more intense battle. I hope EEUG still has time to tweak his smap code, or maybe SP193 will get the DMA transfers working with the SMAP, a little speed on the network adapter would go a long way.

    Thanks for your answers!
This was exactly my experience with it before deba5er. But it sounds promising that there are things going on that might do it better. They are both great games that deserves to be played!
Guess Iīll go with GTA3 this weekend instead . Have a great day!

I've just been playing this game via OPL and there's a hard crash over and over when you enter Vanarhost Castle (may be the layer switch area?). The original disc is fine as is a DVD 9 backup I made too so the problem is with the program. Is there a known fix to get by this? I don't want to run from the disc as my PS2 is ancient and the laser is old.
