Big Problem with OPL R611 ERROR, COULD NOT RUN ITEM

OK where do i start I have a version 7 NTSC-US PS2 running FCMB 1.8c running games on Internal HDD Maxtor 120GB

Games installed useing WinHiip 1.7.6

the first OPL i had installed i diden't look at the rev number during the compile but then just yesterday i compiled it again the rev number for the one i made yesterday was 611



First off when i first loaded games on to the Hard Drive there was no problems ran all the games i loaded first (Resident Evil 4 and Silent hill 2, 3, 4, and Origins) they all worked and now after i loaded the rest of my games (Fatal Frame 1,2,3, Ratchet & Clank 1,2,3,4 Siren 1,2) i had OPL keep comming up with a error

First it says Loading Config for a few seconds then i get an error saying Error, Could nut run the item this is happening with every game now even the ones working before i would also like to add the games work fine through HD Loader 0.8c just OPL is now acting up

i'm not sure what i should do please can anybody help me

Do you have a partition created +OPL if not make room and create one
If you do you may have corrupt config files in hdd0:/+OPL/CFG/
or you may not have enough space in that partition check the above and if one or more is correct that may be the problem

BTW i have RC1 RC2 and modified of HDloader RC3 and 1 and 2 run fine but RC3 has always had problem:)

Actully i don't have a partition for OPL is that something new in the latest REV that needs to be done i wasn't aware of that

Yea it saves your config now it that partition for faster loading and of course you can make VMC in their too
So use uLE hard drive manager and make on up to to you what size then try again and their is a converter for old config

Without an +OPL partition, no HDD games would run at all with revision >= R610. So what you should do when using beta revision, is at least reading the "revision commit" messages:

Devs usually put great bunch of informartion there ;)

And then, you should report precise problem with real facts, or you may "lost" devs on false track.

Finally, it is not normal that not having a OPL partition prevent from running games (it should only prevent from saving stuff: config/VMC/ART, ...), so I'll fix this asap.

So their is a problem then without +OPL partition then

I think it was revision 609 in fact but not totaly sure i just know that before i was playing games fine and then after i compiled the newest version it wasen't working

There is not problem not finding an error. Your setup is different than those of others (you had no reason to find this bug, as you have a OPL partition for long time), so there are some bugs you'll never experience.

I already know what is the problem, it is the VMC checking that is too meticulous:) I'll fix it later.

No No I just created the OPL partition last night after my last post. I used the release version of OPL 0.8 and made all the VMC files in the +OPL/VCM/ folder and i made a +/OPL/CFG Folder. And now testing it just this morning its still not working even when I try to setup the VMC. I can't it keeps saying VMC can't be created. Its like its not even finding/searching for the OPL partition on the hard drive. Also do i need to make the config files for each game manually

Well it looks to me like you may have problem with your HD either you hard drive is not connected properly or something is wrong with it take HD out run
WinHiip 1.7.6 check for errors if any when done save to repair if not reconnect HD and make sure it has all pins and seated correctlly
if still no joy then I am at a lose but maybe a reformat and install games will work
