[SOLVED] Where to find the USBLD SMB build?
[SOLVED] Where to find the USBLD SMB build? –

As above, I've found and downloaded the openusb v0.4 from http://psx-scene.com/forums/showthread.php?t=62141 (Open PS2 Loader Project - v0.9) , but these from what i can tell by running them doesn't contain the option to boot software from the network/smb-interface that is talked about in the same thread. Where are these versions found?
I've searched the forums for 30 minutes now =/

The latest public release is 0.41 all other revisions are in beta stage right now. If you can, download and complete the source code (its available at bitbucket), but those revisions arent officially released or supported, because there are still in process of development.

And also please note those betas are purposely left in a source state so only those who can offer in helping with the program to either test fuctionality or add to improvements is why its not in a binary form just yet.
Its not meant to use as a "stable" release and shouldnt be spread around, until the developers release such a stable binary or general beta test binary for user feed back.

Thanks for the info I was searching the forums too. This looks really promising.

Allright, so the already compiled versions have the smb intentionally left out? If the source for 0.41 is compiled, then smb should work? Just curious..

The source code from teh bitbucket repository has the SMB drivers. The source attached here is only the USB version. No SMB included.

No, SMB wasnt available at the time those USB Loader .041 versions were made, but you can find a few test binaries with SMB included in the main Dev.thread that both jimmikaelkael and ifcaro posted....rev62 i think it was. But were are at Rev 122 now, so much has changed since those too, even the name.

In fact there are some pre-compiled beta binaries with networking available too, though you'll have to search for them differently in the main thread where betas have been discussed, which has tons of posts (650+) and with an attachment icon in the thread title.
If you click on such an attachment icon you should get a popup window showing a list of all the attachments available in the thread, and there you can then look for something you'd like to download.
I know for sure that OPNUSBLD_rev62 is available as such an attachment, and this does contain an early version of the SMB interface (as compiled by ifcaro I think).
Just so you know, the current version is in fact rev122, while the latest one I tested (from yesterday) is rev118, so things are changing quickly here...

Allright, now I see, the repository has been moved after the project changed name. It's at http://bitbucket.org/ifcaro/open-ps2-loader/src/
Also just out of curiousity (and slightly off topic) what is required to compile ps2 source code, i figure you have to have some really unusual program libraries and so forth on your system?
Hmm.. I don't seem to have the priviliges to change the topic of this thread, but it naturally should have [SOLVED] added now too..
