YLOD fix??? –
Hi to all
Recently a friend of mine had the YLOD incident on his ps3
Wenn i tried to help him i found some people that say that some time the YLOD is fixable
I ask some technick experts at Easybuy and they told me it is fixable
The problem is that i want to fix it myself if posible and thats where i need your help
I need a guide if posible
Thanks for your help
For the YLOD, if it do happen on the RSX or CELL chip you could do it if you do have all equipment, but all the equipment that you need to buy way more expensive then your ps3. Most people said using HEAT Gun to reheat the chip, but success do not do it, because it harm the chip more than u can rescues.
i can easily find the equipment for free( borrow it from my cousin who is a pc technician) so just send me a tutorial
thanks for the reply anyway
You will not be able to do a proffesional repair yourself. It will require a BGA Rework station which are 300+.

ok thanks people
i will leave this open just in case and i will propably close it in a week
thanks for posting
ur both idiots, it is mostly either the gpu or cpu over heating and a linkage cracked. all u ned to do boss is reflow your chips there are easy tutorials online as to what you need and how to do it. dnt send it to captain scammer hell just take ur ps3, and dnt buy a couple thousand dollar station. u can fix it in an oven for god sakes. but there are more subtle methods of fixing it, need a heat gune that has variable heat(either electronic or if u want just with hight, med, low settings) some thermal paste(artic silver 5 is best) and some thermal pads(any will work) then just folow a guide
