Wrong Logic board maybe?

I have a fuly working ps3 apart from the laser missing!! Ebay purchase. So what i have done is transferred a working laser from one of my ylod machines into the ps3 that i have purchased from ebay, but when i connect everything up the blu ray laser does not light up, but when i detached the data cable from the blu ray the laser comes on fine. Is this the wrong logic board for this ps3 and if it is is there any way i can make this work?? i have also tried a different working data cable so this cannot be the problem.

Search on this site for remarry br drive

If your on 3.55 you should replace the entire drive with one out of one of your ylod machines and remarry. Why do you have so many ylod machines keep em clean and cool its always better to have a green light as opposed to a red one
