What apps does the community want to see?

keyboard/mouse use a game controller and not only on the xmb (so i don t have to buy a second controller)
wii remote controler for the same purpose or even instead of ps move,
using my apn as a eye toy (but i don t count on this)
simple calculator like on wii so i don t have to use my brain for make simple operations,
apps custom on xmb (sound, fonts, themes) even we can already partially do it,
a photo and music editor, a real video editor.
all the apps on pc for ps3 as param editor etc..
a better video player ( at least to read subtittle without using streaming)
about the internet browser display, i don t mind coz it s the only way to avoid virus trojan etc...

The problem with ps3 is Sony have done half of the (good) job, ghz but not ram,
video player but can t read subtittle, fat32 but not ntsf.

One thing i was surprise on lastest fw was Sony add a video editor, a simple (i wanted to say craps to look cool) but it s pleasant to see they are trying to satisfact every kind of users.

A music player that runs in the background of everything would be awesome.

About the media player for PS3, it would be nice next to USB and NTFS support to have SMB to, so you can play your movies directly from the device you downloaded it to. And I think Linux users might want to see native file sharing support. PS3Mediaserver is a workable alternative until then.
Advanced xbmc goodies don't have much priority with me.

A music player capable of playing lossless audio formats and also some sort of Ebook reader would be nice

ALOT of great ideas I saw on here! MAME, Wii remote driver, in game music, Media Player were my absolute favorites…Optical Drive emulator could be used for more than just PS3 games, maybe possible to use an app like MultiMan to implement PS1 games and PS2 games on the BC PS3s, then we could play PS1, PS2, PS3 backups…but I am sure that is or has been tried…who knows, someone may be working on a method now!

Another one I think would be great is a password protection app for updates…that way if you share your PS3 with family or even friends, they cannot accidentally update your PS3..block all update methods; PSN, game disks, and USB devices. Even block it in the recover menu if at all possible! I've seen ALOT of people say their PS3 was updated because someone else did it for some reason or another, so password protected firmware updates could be a life-saver for some!
