Very good question I also been wondering about this.
Well if you buy a brand new PS3 (have to be brand new) and use the same PSN/SEN as your older PS3 you should be in good shape
I am not 100% sure of this but it should work. As long the PS3 that you are getting is brand new
Backup your older PS3 and restore it on the newer one.
Once again I am not 100% sure abut this but it should work,
