Did someone test if relative paths like ./USRDIR instead of /dev_hdd0/game/BLESXXXX/USRDIR work ? This might solve the problem of not changing the length/size of the EBOOT.ELF file. so could someone please test that and replace: /dev_bdvd/PS3_GAME/USRDIR with: ./ (and filling the rest with HEX 00 to keep the same size). In my oppinion the EBOOT.BIN should then look for all the Game date files from the current directory which would be like /dev_hdd0/game/BLESXXXX/USRDIR

Or does someone know in which part relative to / (root) that EBOOT.BIN's get started ? (maybe a test homebrew with a 'pwd' in it ?)

Anyway I'll test that as soon as I'm getting home.

    That's a nice thinking!

Just not ./USRDIR as you mentioned first but ./

The EBOOT.BIN is located into /USRDIR as well all the files it needs to load, so, this would be just ./

    Looking forward for your results!

I was thinking the same thing, I posted about it in the games without references thread, but it turns out they don't even have relative paths (never knew what they were called hehe).

Do you mean games with only /dev_bdvd in it ?
For this case I'm thinking of changing the /dev_bdvd entries to ./ and afterwards copy the whole PS3_GAME folder and contents (except EBOOT.BIN) into the folder where the EBOOT.BIN is. So it will then look like /dev_hdd0/game/BLUSXXXXX/USRDIR/(PS3_GAME/USRDIR) where the parts in the braces are the contents of the game BluRay.

Sadly I have to work for another 3 hours before I can test my ideas...

Oh I see what you mean, that's a cool idea, let's hope for the best.

What I was saying is some games don't have any references at all!

Condemned 2 has no references, and works just fine. I'm guessing it's using relative paths internally. All I had to do was unself, make_self_npdrm and then psn_package and package_finalize to get it working.

^^^ What folder did you use and where did you put it?

    I had to re-install orig 3.41 so it's delaying me a bit..

Thanks for confirming that works! This is what I suggested people should do yesterday, I'll quote you in that thread.
