Point...
Few own the rights to actually use the real SDK. And fewer who do, aren't likely to be releasing homebrew for people to use for free.
PSL1GHT is a living project. ANYONE who wants to contribute can (and has) do so and make it better. You can't do that with the sony SDK. Also, it's open source, so if you DO think you've found a bug in it--- you can find it and fix it. Not so much with the Sony SDK.
I could go on, But I am probably wasting valuable time that could be better used reversing something or learning something new... so I'll move along. ;-)

but wouldn't one think that the offical SDK has better tools and has less bugs then something someone made in their basement. also we dont own the rights to use PSl1ght either since it uses reverse engineered or copied Sony code which is illegal. again just asking a question not ragging on PSl1ght.
