Ps3 won't accept disc ,can't put it in!
Ps3 won't accept disc ,can't put it in! –
I bought a ps3 with ylod,I fixed it but now the ps3 drive make a lot of noise for a few seconds.
The owner that sold hil to me has recovered his game disc(i'm sure). So the drive is empty but I can't insert a disc because something is in the way,It block's the disc.
Can I fix this?
What I have tried is to switch my good bd drive from my own ps3 (also 40gb fat) with the bad one on the other ps3.I tought everything was working fine,no noise good eject en insert reaction but the disc would not show up on my screen?
I hope someone can help me!
the reason your disc wont show up on the screen is because the bd board on the drive isnt married to the motherboard.
be sure they are the same drive (the laser's should match up) and swap the boards on the bottom of the drive, then put the drive that does accept discs back in the ps3.
and the reason why the 1st drive wouldnt take a disc at all is because the previous owner didnt assemble the bluray drive back together properly, so the mechanicals arent lined up anymore. it's an easy fix, but not if you dont know what you're doing. and yes, the bluray drive logic boards have to be from the ps3 it originated from
ok guys thanks a lot!
So If I understand it properly, I have 2 options now?
option 1: change the bd boards (if the drives are the same model),I see a little difference between the 2 drives would this be a problem?
option 2: simply fix the bd from the ps3 that I bought
So, I think option 2 is the best because in that case my own ps3 would stay original.
Can you guys help me ,what I have to do to fix it?
any links or information?
thanks in advance!
I just fixed it!!!
So now the bad drive is become a good one, accept the discs and also read them.
What I did:
openend up the drive en tried to get the pin (that blocked the opening for the disc) down.
I saw it was a system of cranks thathandle that pin up and down.
I rotated everytthing till the pin was down and also placed the black larger plastic plate with crank back in good position.
1st attempt to get the disc in was not so smooth, but I was going in.
Before the second attempt I first hold the eject btton till it bleeps a few times and I heard something was going on in the drive.
Placed disc in and everthing was like it has to be!!
Sorry for my bad english but just want let this know for others maybe!
