    Hello!

    So, i got a friend's PS3, first models, i think V2. It does'nt turn on.

I tested the PSU, and it works, 5V and 12V can supply enough power.
And i also tested, to make sure, to power the PS3 with bench supply, but no results.

I checked every single fuse on the motherboard, but no blows.

Before i start to dig more, any suggestions where i should seek the problem?

now dont flame me for saying this, but are you sure that the power switch is on in the back?

if it is, then its either the power supply or the power eject board

You did'nt even read my post
Yes i'm sure, since i was able to measure the voltages

Hmm... I should find out how i can bypass the power/eject-board, to count that out.

Thanks for the idea, it was the power/eject-board's ribbon cable

Strange that, my friend did'nt open the PS3, it just stopped working, but now when i fixed the ribbon cable, it started to work.
I think there were something else, that somehow got fixed when i disassembled the whole PS3, and i happened to broke the ribbon cable. Can't believe it was just the dust

These kind of repairs are the most annoying, can't know if the same problem comes back, and impossible to recreate
