I have installed the new progskeet 1.1 on my 3.56 slim ps3. I have double checked and verified all points. However, when I turn on the ps3 it will come on for about 30 seconds and then turn off. The fan starts to spin quickly as well. Any idea's what is wrong? I am able to get the progskeet to detect on my pc before it turns off.

First of all, have you removed R8 resistor? Second, get yourself a multimeter and make sure nothing is short-circuit in there.

Yes, R8 was removed and a switch was installed. The wiring is fairly simple and I have tested continuity with my multi meter already.

    Thanks for the reply!

That means bad flash.. its temp bricked it just needs to be re flashed with a working flash.. if you connect the progskeet does the console stay on or still 30secs then off.. btw I had this problem updating from 3.56 in FSM.. I fixed with E3 FLasher never looked back..

Bad Flash, Temp bricked.. all you need to do is re flash with a working flash.. I had the same problem with my spare console I got it from updating on 3.56 in FSM.. Does your console stay on when you connect the progskeet. or does it still turn off after 30 seconds.. I fixed this prob with E3 Flasher downgrade.. I had to do it all with blank screen.. lol check my E3 Flasher downgrade video out Youtube Search 'E3 Flasher Downgrade 4.00+ to 3.41 QA Flag then Upgrade to any Firmware'

You can get it to stay on sometimes by closing the r8 and booting the ps3. after it is on you can open the r8 and close r7 reflash with the good dump which i hope that you have and you should be good to go.

Solder a wire from NOR Tristate to a switch, then to GND

This halts the SB and allows you to read/write without problems. Turn the switch off to boot the console normally
