Hi, the ps3 registry is located in dev_flash2/etc/ and its backup is in the backup folder.
It contains every setting of our ps3, including region, parental lock, dvd region, bluray region, video output. SKFU in his blog started documenting it here:
    http://streetskaterfu.blogspot.com/2...-research.html

With your help i would like to understand the values of each setting, so that we can change it as we please. For instance we could easily change the bluray or ps2 region which is something many of us (including me :-P) are after.
So, if you please, could you let me have your registry, and include data such as PS3 model, region and such, so that we can figure out those values?
You can attach it here, or use other services such as megaupload or similar.

I only need the first part of the registry. The second part contains private information that i do not need.
The first part goes from offset 0 to 0000FFFF, the second is the rest of the file.

Thanks, and let's figure this out.

Ok, I got it wrong. The real values are stored after offset FFFF, the 5 bytes before each setting only identify them and whether they're visible in the XMB or not. So i need the full registry to see if we can change something.

Thanks, any infos on you ps3? Region, version, video standard?
It appears that the registry does not maintain the same order of elements, but the 5 bytes before uniquely identify each setting which can be anywhere in the first FFFF bytes.

if only i had a teensy or any of the available hardware to jailbreak the ps3 i would gladly help you in this.. what i really love the most is finding the right offsets like what i did with the psp.. but i was never credited for that since i shared my discovered offsets in the scene.. which a few days later, a homebrew app was released to easily change the offsets.. (sucks when someone releases something you don't even know if they just saw your post and used it in their homebrew and you dont get any recognition)

theres nothing really that great except maybe enabling the debug menus. to do this i would find another option you can mess with that has on and off find the gap in hex (if theres any gap) or find a pattern then apply it to these debug options and see what happens. Other than that the options on here look like not even worth messing with.
