    glevand

    Features:
Into HV integrated OtherOS bootloader loader (compatible with OtherOS bootloader on 3.15)
OtherOS bootloader is booted directly from HV, no GameOS is involved.
Process of booting OtherOS bootloader loader is very similar to 3.15 method
    Booting Linux from HDD/USB/BD/Network
    Linux with GameOS rights
Full access to all HV SS services (Dispatcher Manager) from GameOS or Linux
Full access to all System Manager services
Ability to create/modify/remove repository nodes in LPAR 1 (e.g. with ps3dm-utils or ps3hvc-utils).
This ability gives you much power over the whole system because many layers of PS3 use repository nodes to exchange information.
Enabled QA mode in Update Manager
Downgrading without USB dongle or Service Mode
    Ability to deactivate/activate HDD/VFLASH encryption (e.g. with ps3stor-utils)
Suuport for ps3-utils. You can flash new OtherOS bootloader from Linux e.g.

just a quick edit: not to be mistaken for OFW/CFW dual boot. And like damox said, "Make sure you read everything"

Awesome.. Will be checking this out a bit later

Just wondering though.. Is this true dual OS booting where you get to choose your OS at start up everytime or is it just grafs work to date all wrapped up with a nice little bow?..

I only ask because on the source site I read this line.

"Note: Currently to start OtherOS. boot_otheros.pkg then reboot.pkg and that will load petitboot."

I assumed that it was based off Grafs work, just easier to install. Haven't got a chance to get this on my cfw ps3 due to ylod in need of repair.

Woot! Got petitboot on my NAND ps3 thanks to glevand. He's working on a hard drive partition solution still, so all I can do is use it to install/boot linux on an external hardrive. But still pretty neat. ^^

Btw, you run the two packages once. Everytime I boot my ps3 it gives me an option. So yes.

Got linux on my NAND ps3. ^^ glevand is working out some kinks but the new method doesn't use vflash. I'd be expecting a release in the next few days.

Actually with the current tools on the site you have to run those two packages each time you want to start OtherOS/linux. Unless you have some unreleased tools from glevand?

Otherwise yes you need to start the tools each time you wanna go into linux. It's not a one off.

The tools I'm referring to are indeed boot_otheros.pkg then reboot.pkg. Those tools need to be started every single time you wanna go into linux as it boots your PS3 into petitboot.

I have unreleased files as I was the NAND tester for the recent work. The only time I have to use boot_otherOS is if I boot into game os (then it boots gameOS everytime till I run boot_otherOS).
