ps1 orignal .self –

okay newbie :total noob question/thought
so .self files are like .exe ,and .sprx are like .dll files right?
well i decrypted the ps1_emu.self files and looked at it with a hexeditor and i see lot of directories go to sprx files like /dev_flash/sys/external/libsysutil.sprx.
so heres what im thinking.
on the psp there is popsloader.it works like extract an update.pbp and then you have to put .prx files in a folder on the root of your ms.then popsloader uses the .prx's for the games to load
so if on the ps3 we get all the sprx files that are in in the ps1 emu.self files and put them in folder and rewrite the directories in ps1 emu self files point them to like:dev_hdd0/ps1 files or something like that. would that work?
also we have ofcourse alter the selfs so that it mounts
your ps1 backups from hdd or usb,and put an backuploader in xmb maybe with syscalls or something??so like popsloader for ps3
or is this wishfull thinking/or a load of crap :P
dev thoughts please :P
