Possible to boot burned BD Games?

After all this Awesome News about the PS3 :)

I got one big question :chinscrat

Is it possible to Modify the OFW so that the PS3 recognises a Burned BD with an PS3 Game on it?

Im not talking about warez. Its a technical question^^ So hopefully some Dev can answer this?

Why would anyone waste money on a bluray burner and bluray writable discs when you can load them from the hard drive. And the answer to just about any "Can we _____ with custom firmware" is"if a dev feels like making it, yes."

I already have a BD Burner ;)
And the discs r now cheaper than ever before.

I hate that HDD shit. Because what if u delete the game or some files from the game by an mistake? ;) Think about it.

And what happens if you lose your disc, or it gets scratched? Unless you're playing off external, you shouldn't be able to "accidentally" delete some of the files. And if you DO... then move the ones you deleted back... it doesn't delete your save or anything.

Anyway, I smell a troll. I'll just let this die.

what if your HDD space is finished

you can delete it but then what if one day you want to play it again?

go through the whole process again,people don't like to waste time

What if you cut the crap and stop worrying about selling your piracy... Buy new external hdd if you need more space. Seriously TB hdd costs like 80$ or what?

A burned BD in a BD Case with Covers looks better then a little picture in my XMB ;)

With the money it takes to buy a bluray burner + discs, you could just as easily buy a bigger HDD. AND you wouldn't have to wait for a program to burn the game correctly to the disc, a dev to allow burnt discs, and the immense amount of time it would take for you to burn the thing to a disc in the first place. It's just pointless. We still haven't hammered out the compatibility issues with running games off of external and internal HDDs, why throw a whole new mess of issues into the mix just because "people don't like to waste time"? Devs are not going to support laziness and backwards thinking. Devs think progressively and usually do it for themselves. Whether that motivation be "I'd like this on my PS3" or "I wonder how this works..." or "People will worship me for this..." it's usually selfish. That's not a bad thing, but I'm saying this to show that a dev's not going to help "you" he's only going to do it if he wants to.

imho.. running from the HDD take some bit of memory~ and games where meant to be run from the disc itself.. I mean my modded ps2 plays burnt disc better than the hdloader crap

Update your hdd loader for the ps3 then as I have 100% compatibility with my games.
