New AACS keys needed.
I need some answers about playing the latest blu ray movies on my 3.55 CFW PS3.
I got the region free patch installed works fine , thanks for the effort "bitsbubba"
The latest movies i got want to update the firmware of my PS3.
Is it possible to decrypt the latest PS3 OFW ?
Is it possible to get the latest PS3 AACS keys ?
Is it possible to "inject" the latest PS3 AACS keys into 3.55 CFW ?
Would be nice if it is possible with a simple .pkg file to install.
What are the other hurdles to be taken to play the latest blu ray movies on a 3.55 CFW PS3 ?
Probably a update of the blu ray drive firmware ?
Does somebody know about other blu ray players which are region free and update able ??
It would be nice to be able to play my latest import blu ray movies.
I don't want to buy another blu ray player
I don't want to rip/decrypt my blu rays on a PC.
What are the possibilties ?

I had THE ZOOKEEPER on Blu-ray & that wanted me to update past 3.55 in order to play it. The zoo keeper is distributed by Sony pictures & i wonder if it's all new films distributed by them that require you to update past 3.55? The film wasn't any good anyway so i wasn't too bothered lol.

I would guess anything recent thats distributed by sony. The alternative is to rip and re-encode with your pc, then either stream it or play from internal/external on the ps3. Just make sure you have the cinavia patched on your ps3 so it doesn't check for file playback.

I haven't tried Zookeeper yet... But what is the error you are getting? Is it just saying it's found a newer FW on the disc and wants to upgrade, or is it saying the AACS keys are out of date? If it's just a 'I've found new firmware', just spoof your CFW to think it's 4.11, and that will bypass that problem... If it's saying the AACS keys are out of date, we've reached the end-of-life of the 3.55 BD player. (All blu-ray player firmwares 'expire' in 12-18 months from their release and won't play new discs anymore without an upgrade...)
I'm fairly new to PS3 hacking, but I have a question:
Is it possible to decrypt a self (or isoself) from a firmware newer than 3.55 (like 4.11 for example), and encrypt it with the 3.55 keys?
I'd be curious to see if you could just run the bdplayer folder from 4.11 on a 3.55 CFW (assuming you re-sign it with 3.55 keys). If I had to take a guess, I'd say this file is responsible: AacsModule_spu_isoself, but worse case, just use the entire folder...
Is the re-signing even possible?

Sadly not...
If that were possible then we would have no problem playing all the latest games.

Have you tried playing it with a version spoofer enabled? I remember that worked before but having played any blu rays recently.
