My ps3 slim terns off after 20 seconds

I have ps3 slim that I update hem
In the middle of the update I got a red screen
I tried to format the hard drive and now it just turns off after 20 seconds
I tried to get in into safe node I ken hear the 2 sounds bat the screen doesn't thorn on
And the ps3 just turn off after 20 seconds

The red screen (of dead) usually comes with a problem in the HDD, NOR chip or some error for reading the information.

Unfortunatly it seems to be problem in the NOR and now without the original disk it wont start the console.

i had a problem just like you describe but i need to know 2 things is it a cfw you tried to install and are you on sub 3.55 firmware

Bought one on the weekend and was impressed. I've got all 3 gaming platforms and found that the PS3 Move graphics are much much better than the Wii ... but to be honest it doesn't take much. The controller is easy to use and the camera is ok. Can't see myself getting anymore games for the Wii now.

No games at the moment, I bought Sports Championship and it was good fun. It really doesn't like the light thats for sure. Nothing like being in a dark room in the Spring

Not sure I'll be getting a Kinect now.

So would recommend it for sure.
