I fixed the clip that I broke holding the ribbon cable to the motherboard with cardboard
Now when I load any demos up it goes to a black and freezes no sound at all also when I insert a disk it spins like normal but it doesn't load up and the clock in the right corner stays normal
    Where can I find replacements
    Firmware 4.11
    Ps3 40gb
    Plz help

being on 4.11 i dont think you can re-marry a logic board up only on 3.55 i just did 1 just check your connection as i had all this trouble awhile ago ant it had slipped out best thing to do is wedge it in then put sum black tape over it to try an hold it if its still the same then quite possibly your logic board has gone

I found a new logic board on eBay for £6.50
It's the same model as mine bdm-003
Can I still use I read about people using a new logic board without re-marrying as long as it is the same model

You've just said you're using cardboard wedged in the clip - that's your problem there straight away. You need to replace the clip, or send it to someone capable.

Black screen on homebrew = faulty BDROM/bad connection

Cardboard just don't cut it I'm affraid!
