There are major problems with this. Most games are designed to run from the Blu-Ray drive... sections are hard coded for this. Recreating the jailbreak is currently the best, most compatible means to allow the backups to run without issues. Modifying EBOOTs has worked for what percentage of games, exactly? 5%? 10%? It's inverse the number of games that work with Hermes 4b, and there's no point in doing backups if they don't work.
As for the values changing, so what? That only means we'll have different payloads for different versions. This is extremely simple to implement.
I really can't understand the mentality of telling anybody one method is useless and should be completely ignored, particularly when they don't understand key issues. The scene should move forward with the Lv2 patching (which now has the benefit of being temporary) AND finding ways to increase compatibility by modifying EBOOTs. When you get anything over 80% compatibility with modified EBOOTs, feel free to raise the point again - until then, let's get the scene moving in the right direction, with the right priorities. That's COMMON SENSE.
Working hard on UberCFW, incorporating NTFS, sub-free NetFlix and Blockbuster, PSN cheat system with built-in swearbot and MAC-spoofing, Adding MKV, RAM and BIK movie support, and Xbox360 emu*.
