    What is wrong with my package.conf file that i can no longer create pkg files? Everytime i try it just gives me the error:
    Illegal header format: "package.conf"
    I am completely stumped.. I've searched but found nothing!

    Here is the package.conf contents:
    Content-ID = UP0001-TEST12345_00-0000000000000001
    k_licensee = 0x00000000000000000000000000000000
    DRM_Type = Local
    Content_Type = Game_Exec
    PackageVersion = 00.01
    And the PARAM.SFO has the same content-id (the test12345 part)

    edit: i'm trying to package the sdk samples

    p.s, i just registered today but have lurked for a while now

    check what encoding your using to save the file with, make sure it is ASCII/ANSI, not UTF8 or Unicode.
    PSIDPatch - http://bit.ly/psidpatch
    xRegistry Editor - http://bit.ly/xregistry
    Playstation 3 Update Repo - http://bit.ly/iR2iXh

    People, stop hating on Math & Co. If it wasn't for them we'd be nowhere, so what if they have their secrets? Remember, they could of just decided not to show anything

    I believe you may have made a small error of using the minus/hypen key rather than correctly using the underscore key

    The wrong way:
    Content-ID = UP0001-TEST12345_00-0000000000000001

    The correct way:
    Content_ID = UP0001-TEST12345_00-0000000000000001

    Hope that helps

    okay! thanks guys!! I think i MIGHT have found my problem.

    I needed to rename the .self file created with the make command to EBOOT.BIN. >_<

    God i'm a retard. And sorry for the long replies in between, i've been busy "in real life" and have been too knackered to go on the computer :\.
    Also, Content-ID and Content_ID both work for me
