Idea: VNC for gameOS
NOTE: this is just a idea, not a request but it you want to try it wooo if not the boooo lol jk
the title says it all a VNC program for ps3, like pspdisp, if you dont know what pspdisp is then read below:
This program package enables the use of a Playstation Portable as an additional monitor in Windows. You can also remotely send keyboard and mouse commands to the PC. The newest version implements sound streaming, too.
PSPdisp is compromised of four components, on Windows a display driver, an usb driver and the interface application which captures the screen, compresses it and sends it over USB or WLAN to the PSP. On the PSP side there is an application that decompresses the frames and displays them.
so my thoughts are if we could make a app like pspdisp then we could easily play a number of consoles currently not ported to the ps3 on the ps3, including ps2 and wii and psp ( there is a psp emulator i have used it to play monster hunter )
since all the emulation is done by the pc.
anyway just a thought, i dont have the programming knowledge to do this but someone might. :)
Looong time ago there was a video with thutorial. Guy was playing Crysis, i think, using VNC on PS3 linux(other OS). It was kinda working, but personaly I don't see much point in it. If your PC is nearby then play on it!
Linux is coming back so it will be possible.
i do see what you mean, but i am just trying to help sony's ps3 slogan " it only does everything" i want my ps3 to do EVERYTHING lol.
i would still like to see this done though.
