If you mean the downgrade patches then yes it works, those patches are for the 3.55 firmware, so they will still work for 3.72,3.73,3.7x,etc, (as long as sony doesnt change something to stop it?)

Your PS3 will only start when the USB is connected to the Progskeet - I've come across this a few times in consoles.
Best method for dumping/flashing using progskeet:
Solder all connections like in the diagrams EXCEPT NOR TRISTATE
Solder R7 - Remove R8 (Progskeet power by USB only)
Solder a wire from NOR Tristate pad to GND via a switch
What this does is pull NOR Tristate low for console boot, effectively putting it in a 'vegetative state' (SB halted) allowing you to read/write away to your hearts' content. To boot the console normally, disconnect the GND from NOR tristate (turn switch off)
Works everytime without fail (Winskeet software needs updating BADLY)
