Homebrew Development Environment [vmware][release]

I've been following the PS3 dev scene quite a bit recently due to the fact I have a 3.41 console. To help with development I have created a Ubuntu VMWare image with a development enviornment preinstalled, so all people need to do is load up the VM and start coding.

Was created folling this guide:
Setup a build environment for compiling and running homebrew for PS3 «

I had to modify it a bit so i could actually install stuff, various packages were missing.

It has been compressed with 7zip for bandwidth reasons I dont have the best connection at home *shakes fist at virgin media* (wheres my 10:1 connection ratio)

Uhm, I dunno if you realize this, but jtanner and evilsperm already did this and it has the ability to switch between SDK's and PS1LIGHT installed too.

BTW: it's not that I don't appreciate a new user doing this, just pointing out that it's already been done. Maybe you could join up with jtanner & evilsperm and maybe add some new features to what's already existing?

BIG thank you! I have been wanting to setup PSL1GHT, but it meant moving my OSs around to other machines I have. This saves me a huge amount of hassle. And this isn't the same, the evilsperm release uses 1.92 and 3.41 sdk, and I don't believe it has PSL1GHT support does it? This on the other hand, unless I am mistaken, has PSL1GHT and only PSL1GHT making this totally legal and something I am happy to download and use. Again, thank you, this is great. If later as PSL1GHT continues to evolve you would post updated builds from time to time, it would be a tremendous benefit.

Yep you are right its PSL1GHT and only that, nothing copyright or illegal on this torrent otherwise I wouldnt be hosting it :P

Regarding the updated builds yes I fully intend to depends on the amount of updates relating to the number of releases.

What would be nice is evilsperm's release combined with this one, as well as the files for PSGrade, too. Switching between an official SDK and PSLIGHT would be nice.

Basically, a one-stop experience for developers (albeit, with Sony's SDKs, so it would have to make the rounds through "the usual places"™)
