Help! PS3 Blackscreen after reboot from XMB to Petiboot
Help! PS3 Blackscreen after reboot from XMB to Petiboot –
08-27-2012,08:15 AM
Hello guys
I have a big big problem. im stuck between XMB and Petiboot. I tried to update from my CFW 3.55 to DEX 4.11. I have a CEHC04 60gb (NAND). I was on the last step to update DEX 4.11 but it doesnt work. Then i tried again from the beginning. I reset my ps3 then i followed the steps again from CEX to DEX for a NAND console. I was on the step to press in the XMB the "reboot" (PS3Light) to go to petiboot. I pressed it and now i have a blackscreen.
I turned off my ps3 i tried to go to the recovery mode. I hear the 3x peep but i dont see nothing. i tried to reset with 2x beep but also the same. I dont have a full brick, because when i turned on the ps3 it start normaly but only with a blackscreen. Green LED is always on. Nothing blinking.
I tried it with a Jig Stick but nothing. I tried also to put a USB keyboard. Maybe i can go blind to select GameOS if it is in petiboot but also nothing.
The problem is, that i thing it doesnt accept the USB anymore, because if i put a usb stick or a mouse or a keyboard, no Led turns on. What can happened?
If somebody knows a solution without flashing with E3 Flasher or Progskeet( because I have NAND), it would help me.

In bold is the reason why to have the hardware flasher and a good dump (before making the changes). I do not know how to solve this problem because I have not had this problem yet. Even if I did, I could just re-flash my dump back on the console as long as it is dehashed. The problem with my solution is that Progskeet is required, although E3 Flasher may work though.
Out of curiosity, did you try putting a OFW 3.55 PUP on your USB and try installing it from recovery menu? Judging by what you said, that may be impossible due to it not reading from USB. Other then that, I have not ever used petiboot, so, my guess is that you need to somehow get to gameos. Come to think of it, I do not think OFW 3.55 PUP will not work anyway due to you being on 4.11 and on DEX, you would need to go back to CEX, but will not be able to go back to 3.55 without a hardware flasher
. Perhaps someone more knowledgeable then me may be able to help you.

Im still on CFW 3.55 CEX. so if i see anything on the screen i can update to OFW 3.55 withour problems, but this is the problem. I see nothing. Maybe i must flash with progskeet. The good is i have a dump of my Nand flash. But it must gives a solution to fix the problem without flashing

I could be wrong on this, but it sounds like to me that you may have a semi-brick on your hands. That 2 peeps should have reset your PS3 video resolution to default 480i. It could also be that your PS3 video card might be bad, but this may be least likely.

Should have reset thats right, but nothing happen. No it cant be the video card because if i want to go to recovery mode and i connect the controller with the ps3 with usb und press the ps button it only blinking alla led on controler and after seconds it turns of. So the controller has no connection with the ps3. that what i say something happened with the usb

Forgot about the USB problem. It's possible that the USB drivers got corrupted in your PS3 firmware, also it seems that your blue tooth module is not working, because at the very least your controller should have connected to Blue-tooth, but it is not (unless you are using a 3rd party controller). You may have accidentally borked both the USB and blue tooth module. You could check if the ribbon cable for the USB and/or the blue tooth module are not loose, although I do not think the USB have a cable, I believe that it is integrated into the board, it has been a while since I last opened the PS3.

Yes its integradetes into the board. So what can i do, to recognize correctly the driver?

I'd imagine re-installing the firmware would solve that problem.
Question: why not just flash with Progskeet? It seems like to me that your PS3 is practically dead, so you really do not have much to lose trying it.

Yes you have right. Maybe i must flash it with progskeet. it is my only hope to bring back to life my ps3
