HELP NEEDED WITH BLU RAY DRIVE PLEASE
HELP NEEDED WITH BLU RAY DRIVE PLEASE –
04-21-2012,01:43 PM
HI i have a CECHG03 40gb ps3 and im having problems marrying the logic board to the motherboard.
The motherboard number is SEM 001-875-384-11.
From what i have read the CECHG03 model is the only ps3 that has multipal logic boards that can be used.
CECHG: BMD-002
CECHG: SEM-001 1-875-384-21 : BMD-003 1-875-350-31
I have tried 5 different logic oards and none of them work and i cant understand why.
Logic board numbers are as follows.
BMD 002 1-874-277-33 X 3
BMD 002 1-874-277-23
BMD 003 1-875-350-31
Each of the bmd 002 boards have the same letters but different numbers on them in the top right hand corner IE :A1 , A2 , A3 & A4
AND THEY ALL USE 400AAA LASERS apart from 003 which is a 410a.
Could someody please tell me where im going wrong if they are the wrong boards which one should i use? if they are the correct 1's why are they not working!! what else could be the fault? Cos its really doin my ****in brain in.
thanks for any help

you made a thread about this yesterday where you were given the answers to your question you are on 4.11 so you would have to downgrade

if you own the original logic board, just replace the laser,if you have OFW 4.11 on ps3 you have to downgrade first and then remarry

if you have the original logic board that was in the first drive just swap that in your new drive its very easy just disconnect ribbon cables and unscrew board from bottom of drive and reverse procedure the logic board and motherboard are keyed to each other through the nand if you dont have the original board you have quite an adventure to rekey each other but i think it can be done i never had to deal with this so i dont know how to rekey them
