Help With makepkg
So I've been messing around for about 8 hour straight with the PS3 signing tools. I seem to have got it all down and figured it out but one of the last steps to remake a PKG. Using makepkg, i don't understand how to use it. The program's commands are "usage: makepkg [key suffix] [version] filename.pkg dir_with_files" What I'm not getting is the "key suffix" and "version" parts. I am running this on windows and my folder dir has the .ps3 with all they keys. Ive tried "makepkg KEY_APP 355 WIN.pkg NPEB0014" as a command. It gave me
key_get() failed
perror: No such file or directory
as an error. I'm stumped. If someone could fully explain how this works and what the arguments mean that be great.

If you look at your keys there is are several called pkg-**-retail.
You want to use those keys.
makepkg retail 3.55.0 filename.pkg dir_with_files
Stumped me too for about half an hour, found the answer inside a french ps3 forum

makepkg is old and isn't even supported anymore, to my knowledge.
Good luck trying to build pkgs with it though, it doesn't support folders...
I'm having the same issue as you, here is my thread:
