Help grabbing IDPS from CEX-FLASH.EID0.NORBIN
So I have patched my banned PS3 with a new IDPS and recently I installed a E3 flasher (doing fast boot setup tomorrow, my fingers are crossed) as I got a good deal here in the forums. Anyhow I went to patch a NOR dump with PS3 Flash Tool v1.00 and with that dump I get a SKU mismatch luckily I have some old CEX-FLASH.EID0.NORBIN backups prior to the change so I can swap what needs to be done in order to make it look official to the tool and SOny as I am sure they can tell a SKU mismatch or regional mismatch of the IDPS. What I do not know how to do is to get this from a PC.
Is there just a hex address I can look for it? I did find details about a tool called PS3 IDPS Viewer but I can't tell if it is for PC or the PS3. I think the PS3 but all links are dead and I do not want to flash that old dump back as I am paranoid as I have not used my E3 flasher yet so I want to make sure I am set software side before I progress with the hardware. Anyhow I hope someone can help me with this as I want to update my IDPS changing guide to add how to deal with new regions or SKU mismatches for others as well. If we are going to get unbanned we might as well do it right. I don't want to setup my dual boot and get banned in a week. :shhh:
I am going to dig around PS3Dev wiki to find out what address' need to be swapped from one IDPS to another and maybe I will find something there that can help me but I call this place home and I ask here first always so it is documented for others to find. Then compile it altogether in a updated guide to handle all aspects of swapping a banned IDPS with a unbanned one for software and hardware users.
