flashing nor with progskeet while ps3 is off

hi,
is it possible to flash a ps3 nor with progskeet while the ps3 is off?,
my ps3 was on 3.61 firmware, i used progskeet to downgrade to the 3.55 firmware then i used rogerov2, everything was working fine here ( i took a nor dump1 here for what i was planning) i then upgraded via recovery to 3.60 ofw (just wanted to see if it would take) the ps3 worked fine here. (i took a nor dump2 here) now that i new that worked i flashed nor dump1 back to the ps3 no errors reported but when i power the ps3 on it has ylod. but when i switch progskeet off, and power on it does not have yellow light of death but it just sits with power on (green light) but no picture or power to usb drives (this didnt bother me before as it booted fine with progskeet switch in the on position) so i cant even put it in service mode to atempt a flash that way.

any idea's here would be very much apriciated.

ok so i managed to fix that issue, incase anyone else has the same issue, (cant power progskeet as console turns off so progskeet does) i removed the wire that connects the vcc point on the ps3 board (ps3-a) and on progskeet. i had another ps3 with a simular board(ps3-b), i conected a wire from the vcc point on the second ps3 board (ps3-b) to the vcc point on progskeet, (all other points on progskeet are still connected to ps3-a board) then i but both ps3's back together best i could and connected power and to tv. i switched off both ps3 by the back then made sure the switch on progskeet was on! next i turned on ps3-b at back the pressed the power button on ps3-b then quickly switched power on to ps3-a by the back and then pressed the power button, in doing this i was able to reflash my nor and fix this issue.

maybe this can help people fix some bricked consoles that do not power up, also maybe not.
