FWIW, I went to whatsmyip.org/more on my PS3 and it says the PS3 uses a Mozilla browser already. Also showed an address for where the plugins were (DEV_FLASH I think).

No, what you saw was just a list of compatible browsers that yours may be. I do wish the PS3 had mozilla so I can install plugins to get rid of ads and other junk.

Firefox has been working on PS3 for ages now. Just install Yellowdog 6.2, it's included in the distro.

Oh, right. You're probably not on <=3.15

"The PlayStation 3 uses a version of the NetFront browser by Access Co. as its internal web browser. It is the same browser used in the PSP (Sony-branded NetFront 2.81) with the same interface, menus and virtual keyboard. Its user agent string is cloaked, falsely reporting as Mozilla/5.0 (PLAYSTATION 3; 1.00)."
Just backs up what Jay-Jay said..
