    Hello,
I don't know if this is the right place for this, if you think otherwise - move the thread.
I have two consoles PS3. One is CECHC04-60GB with firm. 3.66, and the other is CECHG04-40GB (with a lot of YLOD) with firm. 3.55-kmeaw. I have good soldering skills and I want to ask if I can take the two NAND CHIP from the CECHG04 model and put it in the CECHC04, because I can't downgrade from 3.66?

it would be much easier to get a flasher and flash your current PS3 NAND, you'd need a flasher to do what you want to do anyways since you would need to copy your EID console specific information to your "new" NAND.

just get a NAND flasher and flash your current NAND

Not totally sure on PS3, but to do that on XBOX 360 you also need to transplant the CPU, because the CPU key is shared with the NAND and the 2 are married. So might not be as simple as it looks.

Afraid not, The PS3's Flash contains several elements that are either per console specific, or encrypted with a per-console key. You cannot boot a console with the flash from another console. At this time, your only chance is to attach a hardware flasher to the CECHG04 and downgrade that way.

What device is the NAND married to? If it's like the 360 and just married to the CPU, then a transplant of the CPU and NAND will work.

So, CPU and NAND are "married"? Then the theory of DUAL NAND by varicela isn't going to work? Or there is a way to take the key and integrate it in the new NAND? Because from this here: /forums/content/dual-nand-setup-40gb-fat-ps3-working-1264/ I think that my mission could be successful.

Dual boot flash does definitely work. The entire contents of the flash are not "married". Only specific components are encrypted per-console with a unique key obscured by the CPU. CoreOS and the Revoke Lists, which is basically the core of the firmware is not encrypted per console and one of the few areas of flash that are ever changed, hence it is exchangeable between versions.

Yes, NAND is "married" to CPU. The per-console key that decrypts bootldr in the NAND is embedded in the CPU. It would have to be the CPU + NAND from the same model PS3 though. If the contents of the EID doesn't at least match the motherboard, it could lead to issues.
    Example : Transplant a CPU + NAND from a DIA-001 motherboard to a COK-001 motherboard = bad.

You copy the contents of the original NAND to the second one.

I can't seem to get this process work though ..I swapped the CPU + NAND (Nor Flash) I even transplanted the BT + Wlan + Modem Module but I still get the 5 seconds YLOD (It turns on , read the HDD (Led blinking accessing) then just turns off YLOD) .

You will most likely need to swap the syscon aswell. especially if it is a different firmware version. A YLOD does indicate a general hardware failure however.
