E3 Flasher Downgrade HELP!

I just bought a CECH-2501B PS3.
I want to put REBUG 3.55 CFW on it, but the problem is, I don't know if its safe to downgrade it.
I messaged the seller to find out what firmware it is on, but haven't gotten an answer yet.
I looked it up online too, and the problem is some sites say it can be downgraded, some say it can't.

Can anybody help me with this?

Here is the list of downgradeable SKUs.

Your PS3 however falls into the maybe it does and maybe it don't.......so use the MinVerCheck Pup as posted above stated. If it says 3.50 or under then you are good to go.

Ok, I just want to be sure I understand.
Here's examples to make it easier

1) If it's 3.50===> Good to go
2) If it's 3.4x===> Good to go
3) If it's 3.55==> NOT GOOD

What if it's on a firmware higher than 3.55 ?(I also have a brand new E3 Flasher)

As long as it's not 3.60 you're good. If that update says anything above 3.55 you're stuck for now.

It will not say 3.55 as there were no PS3s released from the factory with that firmware version. The highest factory released firmware can be 3.50.
