I was wondering if it was possible to edit the lv2diag to read the nand instead of write it.

I may not be understanding this to the fullest but the way i see it is when in service mode, the ps3 looks for lv2diag.self and when it finds it write protect is taken off of the tsop.

So yeah, is it possible to edit the lv2diag.self to read instead of write? I ask because i would like to remap some bad blocks that the ps3 failed to do but i have no idea where they are.... yet....

I'd like to write some tools for lv2diag.... just not sure what the proper procedure to get them signed properly is.

I'd like to do some actual diagnostics, and maybe open up other operations.
Working hard on UberCFW, incorporating NTFS, sub-free NetFlix and Blockbuster, PSN cheat system with built-in swearbot and MAC-spoofing, Adding MKV, RAM and BIK movie support, and Xbox360 emu*.

*not really. Get a life, newbs...

Yes, it needs to be signed and encrypted.

If somebody would be kind enough to drop a PSL1GHT make file for the correct makeself settings, I'd be much obliged. I might get off my lazy ass and write a few lv2diag tools.
