So I have replaced the laser on a drive that suddenly stopped working after a YLOD repair and now the analog clock just keeps spinning (loading) as if its trying to read the game, but stops after a few minutes. Anyone have any advise of even a fix?

First check both ends of the laser cable are fully inserted and correctly locked down.
Best way is to remove the cable and reinsert it to be sure.
You should be able to see the black line running accross the blue plastic on the cable, lined up with the connector.
It could also be another dead laser. Either dead before it left, or in transit.
I did all that.... And I found out the problem is with the CPU gotta reflow it and i should fix it, but i'll let you know for sure.
