Tools to Unpack .pkg and create .pkg

I'm also curious of getting the state of dev tools on PS3. I noticed Rebug firmware and I was wondering if people succeed to connect their retail PS3 with official SDK and debugging on it ? As Retail have only one Ethernet port is this possible ?
