I just ordered all the parts now, worst part takes week++... grrhh
Should have ordered as much as you could local, ie kynar wire/flux/solder/iron, so that you could solder up the test points and then set up a jig or something that u cud just slot the flasher into when it arrives
Yah im gonna get on it within the next days, so when it does arrive ill just solder up the board, been thinking of making a solderless plug, a quick one nothing toooo crazy so if this works, process can be completed on multiple ps3's with ease..
also thinking of the dual nor too, good ideas for quick testing, will try that too. just need a dead or donation slim to rip the nor from...
Afraid not, he just said "soon"..
I'm not sure I understand your question, we can update all we like, using official methods.. What you can do is, fit this, dump your NAND and then keep it safe (multiple copies, upload some too and email yourself links) and if you're 3.56+ then edit it so it's got a 3.55 coreos (or the backup that's already on there, ros1 over ros0) and write it back. It's not that we can exploit newer FW's with this, just downgrade from them (using hardware).

I was waiting to see how long this theory would rise up, i've been wanting to try downgrade PS3 ever since there was CFW
for those waiting on an update from danixleet, i have one, we started soldering all the wires up, we are up to about number 12 now and have a problem, one of the silver soldering points/test points have fallen off, and cant get a reading out of the multimeter unless we hold the silver thing in place, any one got any ideas on fixing it?
