Yes, this will work well.
My final question regarding the infectus, does it have to be powered externally? Or can I just use an internal source of power. Because when I was reading about reading/writing with it, the ps3 will turn itself off but leave the NAND powered when using the infectus.
I talked to eussNL and he explained how to power the infectus. It can actually be done internally.
Almost 3 weeks i tried downgrade my CECHG (sem-001) with infectus2, and i have the following constraints :
1.I can read/dump the NAND data well and interleave them till i got "core OS" in (ROS)
2.Try hex edit it with donor good 3.55 fw.
3.Reflash/writing NAND with modified data
4. the result is my PS3 now totally brick.
in this case, i try to recheck all modifeid data and its all fine. so i try to write back the original data to my PS3 for insure and the result is same "TOTALLY BRICK".
finally i tried to read/dump back this data for make sure. i was very surprised that the data i write all this is empty ( FF FF FF FF FF.....),this is the culprit.
my quastion here :
1.Why my infectus can not write to nand but read is good??
2.am i wrong with the wirring supply, in this case i use 5v external suplly for infectus, and take the 3,3v from it to feed the NAND.
pls i need help to unbrick my 3.56 ps3, now i have no good answer on google. hope all of you here can share your experiances especially CECHG (sem-001).
i have done with many ways, and do search on many forums but NO LUCK with sem-001 write problem !!!!. if anyone here already success with sem-001 unbricking, pls PM me and offer me your price. i need your full tutorial.
i dunno what is "tristate means on infectus", ?? is that R/B point??
