This could be the beginning of a beautiful open source relationship. Cairo has just met PSL1GHT! phirenz Has tweeted that he has been successful in coding a simple animation for the PS3 using the open source 2D graphics library Cairo. Not much to see now, but great things are sure to follow. For more information on what Cario is and does check out the links below.

Video of my animation test with PSL1GHT and cairo. Also a PKG and source code on github. Just a quick test animation I did using cairo and psl1ght (open source PlayStation 3 homebrew sdk) Any stuttering you see is just my camera, youtube or your flash player. In real life it is really smooth.

now this is neat. cairo is pretty much a standard llnux library for 2d graphics nowadays.
