Very nice, well organized thread :-)
I suggest that you put the MD5 checksum to the files, just to verify the files ;-)
thx again Warren, Acergy & all those who contribute in this forum :-)

thanks for youre suggestion
You are welcome :-)
i use this one : MD5 Checksum Verifier. Even with the demo period is already off, i still use it.
I have the RSOD after a stupid act i did, when i downgraded without the blueray drive linked to the ps3 :-(
Can you advise me or suggest a way to restore it, or did anyone confirm a way to get out of that ***** screen??
Thanks in advance ;-)

Reason: downgraded, not updated :-p My bad ;-)
Do you have a methode to jailbreak youre console to go in factory mode?
did you read that other Thread?, see the last you tube movie, in the thread are many answeres to fixes, http://psx-scene.com/forums/f149/blu...-55-cfw-74794/ (BluRay Drive bypass 3.55 CFW) , try the things i wrote on the first post, i can tell you now what to do but i have everything already written, maybe later if you have read a bit and tested some pups and still not work maybe i can help, last thing you can do after trying is remove the battery
s6 , if you have questions i answer them later
i had many red screens, bricked mine at least 30 times, always get it fixed, never give up.
for me its not hard with a ps3key to jailbreak and go to factory mode, when nothing helps i remove the battery, my console is open in 10 seconds and i get the battery in 2 minutes need only to remove 4 screws, that are the only one i need to screw back, every screw the console dont need i dont push back, the console looks the same when closed. to many times i need to remove the battery. but my testing periode is over, i fixed my problem with pushing the datacable better in with a piece of plastic.
but did you try it in factory mode with a downgrade bin on youre jailbreakers?
only the pup on the root and the self from file 1, and end with only self of file 2 to end the factory mode, did you try that way?
if all fail , do it with the battery, and start with a jailbroken console,

when you do it with youre jailbreakers you dont see a recovery menu.
put console off, lights off
put youre downgrade bin on youre jailbreaker ( i used a ps3key so i dont know how you do it ).
put the jailbreaker in the right usb port
turn power on and immediately press eject.
if you have the downgrade bin on the jailbreaker then the console turns off after a few secondes.
leave it this way and put on a usbstick ( fat32 ) the pup named PS3UPDAT.PUP and the self file from Lv2diag.self FILE 1 on the root of the usbstick.
For downgrading and updating with a jailbroken ps3 i used the self from here, i dont know how to hide the link if its forbidden i delete it.
put the usbstick in the right usb port, all other usb ports empty.
turn console on, and the console starts the update.
after 10 minutes the console turn off.
empty the usbstick and put the self from Lv2diag.self FILE 2 on the root of the usbstick.
put it back in, again right usbport and turn console on.
after 10 seconds it goes off and then it is finished and hopely fixed.

What firmware was the latest you used before you bricked,
try to use that one in BDB version or if you didnt try this one DBD DOWNGRADE File name: 3.55_DGF downgrade firmware naar 3,41.rar File size: 169.29 MB <-- made by another user, name is coming up, worked for lots of user with brick or loop problem, try with all firmware.
if you want to remove the battery , watch good wish screws to do, you can leave the powersupply alone, 7 screws around and the sensor 4 screws, then the bottom comes loose Sony PS3 Disassembly Tutorial
[lang=es]Did you see this??:
JaicraB Blog: PS3, Actualizar sin lector
Its the JAICRAB`s way to patch 2 BD checks in updating process :
"BD FIRMWARE" and "Bul-ray Disc Player list Revoke".
offset 0x3CF0 = 0x419E0044
offset 0x3C50 = 0x48000034
Its a modified Lv2diag.self to update broken PS3s.
No homebrew of course.
"Activar Service Mode.
I didnt testit, my BDD its OK.[/lang]
The firmware was 3.50 & every time i use the 3.50 BDB, it comes to 42, 43% and goes staightly to 100% and then i know that the RSOD win & persist.

Also, the 315 & 340 that are in your post give me an 8002F2E6 error, i think that mean they are corrupted. (i downloaded them twice, just to verify).
My ps3 is CECHL03, the fat 80Gb model. Not the same screws and stuff like in the photo.
But i did unscrew all of them except one: the one near the battery!!
My bad luck i guess
Since the ps3 is open, i think i will use a thermal paste, just in case
& thanks for the link, i will try it.
Ola player1 & gracias
