BluRay Drive bypass 3.55 CFW

My PS3 BDB firmware is "Bluray Drive Bypass", which allows a user to Update there ps3 with the latest available even without a Bluray drive in there PS3.
This is just the basic release and will update as more firmwares and features are added to Kaks or Geohots Firmwares.

This hopefully with allow users to update without a BD drive.
UPDATE
Im making a Twitter and im wanting to have users make requests for their CFW or any CFW to be BDB enabled.

Also I Made Rebug 1.0.1 a BDB

Thanks, I just tried this on my 3.41 PS3 that was missing the bd and it worked perfect.

Ima try installing it from retail 3.55 to see what happens.
Im on Kaks cfw 3.55 and installed my Bluray bypass firmware which is 3.55 also.
It installed fine and i rebooted without A BD drive in my ps3 the whole time.
So, heres my Bypass firmware, Pretty basic... But its for those like me and without a working BD drive. This hopefully with allow users to update without a BD drive.

NEED TESTERS!

If your worried about this CFW then dont try it... Its just a simple edit to the UPL.xml.pkg...

Its just my theory.

Yes, if you install this you will lose the ability to jailbreak.

unfortunately the dongle exploit doesnt work on 3.55, but who know maybe in the future we will see a dongle friendly firmware. although more likely just more 3.55 goodies

and might I inquire as to how you managed to sign the pup? I'm learning how to sign .pkg and was wondering if signing .pup files is the same way.

I tried comparing the files but i can't seem to decrypt the UPL.xml.pkg from this cfw
