blu ray help –
06-20-2011,12:54 PM
Hello ps3ers I'm new to this site but I was referred by the seller on ebay to here. I bought a logic board for my blu ray and it has fixed all my problems I was having but now it won't read disks. Now I know I have to do the bga swap so I'm not to concerned why it wasn't reading but is there a easier way then taking the chip off and puting it on the new logic board. I have update 3.65 on my system too so I don't think I can go down in updates to fix the key. Any advice I would love before I take the bga chip off. Ok one more thing would I be able to forget the bga chip and buy the exact board and get lucky example bmd-001 A 1 and just put that in and then do nothing or would you still have to do something to that board as well?

You will need to downgrade to 3.30 or lower by reflashing the nor/nand externally, and then to perform a bluray pairing using one of the leaked lv2diags. (You will need to set your ps3 to service mode). It's the only way you will have to pair the drive and get it to read discs.
P.S. This thread doesn't seem development related though.

hello
I bought a ps3 60 gb used with broken bd
I replaced the bd run downground to 2.80 and remarry bd
This erased the data_revoke
I tried to put a lot of dlr files but I have not had any luck
I also took the dlr from an PS3 60 with MKB 19 (latest available), but there was nothing to do
I also tried with another player but nothing
so the protection is not store into main of bd
there is a way to reset this control as if he had never read a bd videos?
because i don't know which bd video read this with last mkb
tnks
