Guys I got hold of a broke PS3 Nand a while ago on 3.50 and had no choice to downgrade so I could fit a new logic board and drive.

Now I knew I would lose blu ray playback but today because I am bored I thought I would try and fix it but so far no luck.

The problem I have is I have no idea what if any blu ray movie was played on the ps3.

I have installed DRLtools copt pkg on kmeaw 3.55 but for some reason it won't start. So using FTP and going to dev/flash3 and replacing DRL1 and DRL2 with some newer ones thought might work but still getting the prohibited message.

Now I've had a idea, I have my very first PS3 here that has only ever played one blue ray ( harry potter prisoner of azkaban ) if I take the DRL files from dev/flash3 from PS3 and put them in to the PS3 with no BD playback will it work ? or is there more files to move ?

If anyone else has any other ideas please let me know, I don't like giving up.

OK tried the above and it did not work.

Now I have a strange problem, my PS3 that I have owned since day one and has only played one blu ray wont work also.

I backed up /dev/flash, /dev/flash2 and dev/flash3 before I downgraded months ago and have just FTP them back to the PS3 but still can't get blu ray back.

Thing is doing my head in now

BTW tried DRLtools on 3.41 and it loaded by still no bd playback

Thanks for that mate but that is not solving the problem, I do have a MKV player that films.

Some where in the ps3 file system there has to be something that is stopping playback of BD and need to find it and delete it.
