Anyone get a copy of X Copy yet. It looks like it makes the whole backup game a "one click" process. It might be worth the $100 bucks if it can save me from wasting DVD-Rs. I would appreciate the reviews from anyone who has used it.

If By "X Copy" you mean "DVD X Copy," then yes, I have a....copy.
The program works as it is supposed to. You put in a DVD (Single for Dual Layered), and it extracts all of the files on the DVD to your hard drive. If it's dual layered, it extracts what it needs to make the first disc, then it makes an image from the files and burns it, deletes the files and then uses what it needs for disc 2. Rinse and repeat. Works flawlessly.
If you're having that much trouble, it might just be worth it to spend that $100 on a better brand of blanks instead...Originally posted by greyghost

No program is going to ever cure that little issue.
If i remember rightly if its the same ppl that made X-copy pro for the Amiga it should be shit hot coz that used to copy even the bad sectors on a disk if you wanted it too also, came in handy for protection(it was hidden inside the bad sectors so if you tried to repair them or just miss them out it, the disk wouldn't work) it was just about the only program i could find that would actually backup most of my disks !!!
Is this for dvd movies? For dvd9 to dvd5 automatically without IFOedit hassle?
Yup, you don't need ifoedit anymore if you don't mind having the movie split on 2 discs.
shit that's awesome. I always screwed up trying to rip it myself.
Do you guys know if this program will work with a dual layered PS2 game?
That remains to be seen, but I highly doubt it as the problem is going to be the Swap point between the discs in the game. Unlike a movie, where it will just stop and you put in the next disc to continue the story, a dual-layered disc game disc isn't going to be that cut and dry to do...Originally posted by Saga
