WTF. Primo and Stomp are acting Funny

Just the other day, my buddy said his version of Stomp Recordnow was messing up. Well, lo and behold - mine started as well (along with my other buddies) I found this quite bizarre and chalked it up to a bomb in the cracked version that basically would error out when you tried to burn. So I reinstalled PrimoDVD and it worked for one burn. After that, same thing - it errored out on me. (BTW the OS's are XP Pro) so I ran Primo on my WINME partition, no jive... Installed Stomp on the ME side, and it worked. (For how long I do not know) This is weird and Im wondering if this is a sign of my DVD burner getting ready to take a shit on me. (That would be BAD)

Check your ASPI layer in XP. You can get the free version of Adaptec's v4.70 through the link on the Support page at www.goldenhawk.com

I sure hope it isnt signs of our burners going bud...because mine is only 1-2 weeks old. And how do you check your ASPI layer?

and it cant be our burner because i burn to cdr's using nero all the time and it works fine every time.

ASPI didnt fix the prob...

This is the error message in the log:

incompatible wiht type of disc...doesnt make sense...

Did you assume the disc you were imaging was a DVD when in fact it might actually have been in Compact Disc format and therefore can't be properly written to a DVD-R...?
