Wrc Ii Extreme Problem

I everytime i start playing wrc 2 extreme in my V5 ps2 magic 3 system when iÂ´m on the menu selection it freezes a lot but during gameplay nothing bad happens it runs perfectly anyone have this dvd back-up problem?
