woohoo, bought a dvd burner on newegg 70 bucks. can i use 10 cent dvd-rs?
NEC 8X Beige Dual Layer DVD+/-RW Drive for 70 bucks, free shipping. it looked to good to pass up, which is kind of a stupid statement since the price is dropping fast. i prob should of posted this before buying it, but does anyone have experience with this burner? it looks like a great reliable burner, and the nec dvd burners are well known and popular now.
and finding ritek and other good dvd-r media on ebay for 50 cents each motivated me further to buy the dvd burner.
also, look at these ebay auctions and tell me how crappy the media is. i wonder if even 1 out of 3 work in these deals
600 pieces dvd-r 1x 2x 4x discount media = 90$
100 pieces dvd-r 1x 2x 4x CompCDR = 15$
50 blank hi qlty dvd-r best media 1x 2x 4x = 8$
100 pieces 1x 2x rx blank dvd-r media (no name) = 15$
and thats not even close to half of 'em! if i can get away with using these cheapo dvds with my ps2/pc/bros mac/dvd player i will be very happy. shit, these are as cheap as cd-rs, how is that possible?
